Yes, works fine. I downloaded 4.1.24 from the Tomcat web site and run it stand-alone (not in conjunction with Apache web server, but by itself) on an AS/400 Model 170 running OS/400 V5R1. (Rather slow on this pathetically old and small 170, but should run a lot better on a new iSeries model ... works better if you compile and optimize all the jar files packaged with Tomcat).
