Thread-topic: byte[] to String conversion

hi,

i used some os400 api and got the result in a userspace object. now i
have read a large chunk of the userspace into a byte array to do some
further processing. i have no problem getting a numerical value using
the AS400Bin4 object but how do i get a string from the byte array
without accessing the userspace object again?
