Is there any truth in the rumour that you can't use Java with the QDLS filesystem? We have to support a legacy system that picks up files from there; our application just uses standard Java classes to create files in a specified directory, like /home/user-name under Unix, or C:\some-dir under Windows. But when we specify /QDLS/AFOLDER on the AS/400, we invariably get an exception saying "Folder not found" (it does exist). It works perfectly well if we use another filesystem, like /QOpenSys/some-dir. I haven't been able to find anything official about this, but a web search did lead me to an AS/400 zip application written in Java, which claimed that, "Java doesn't work with QDLS". Does anyone know the truth?
