Martin,

We are sure it is the ptf-update. Replacing the Toolbox-driver with
native DB2-driver fixes the problem... But we still want to use the
Toolboxdriver...

please check your message. You say following:

"Based on our recent experiences in this area, I think you'd find that
the above problem would go away if you used the latest version of the
JTOpen toolbox driver, to be replaced by the following one:

"unquote

The driver isn't mentioned???

Based on our recent experiences in this area, I think you'd find that
the above problem would go away if you used the latest version of the
JTOpen toolbox driver, to be replaced by the following one:

        SQL0804: SQLDA not valid.

Digging deeper into this message would reveal that you would have error
type 6.

And you also had the latest cumulative PTF applied recently. It appears
that this cume broke the database, at least as far as JDBC is concerned.
Removing the cume appears to fix the problem for now.

We found reference to an APAR, SE04940, which describes our symptoms
exactly. This APAR claims to be closed, the problem fixed; but no PTF
is given.

If anyone has any more information about this, place let me know.

Cheers,

Martin.
