Royce, Nothing in writing. Basically, you need to get current, latest PTFs, 1.3 JDK. Next, download James from http://jakarta.apache.org/james. After downloading, read the installation and configuration instructions (they are only a dozen or so pages). Install on your local workstation and test. When it works, copy that installation to your iSeries or AS/400 system. Modify the shell script that comes with James in the bin directory. Looking at mine, I commented out the Java home parts. I also added an export QIBM_MULTI_THREADED=Y and changed the %java_home bla bla bla to java -ms64m -Djava.version=1.3 $JVM_OPTS... The -Djava.version is only necessary on pre V5R1 systems. Also, if you are already running the smtp or pop servers, you will have to change the port or stop them. This sounds like a great alternative, do you have any instructions on loading James on the AS400? Thanks Royce Stearns
