I trial-and-errored to determine the authority required to execute QSH command. I created a user profile with USRCLS(*PGMR) class, LMTCPB(*NO), and all special authorities except *ALLOBJ, and QSH fails with MCH3601, as follows: Message ID . . . . . . : MCH3601 Severity . . . . . . . : 40 Date sent . . . . . . : 03/21/01 Time sent . . . . . . : 12:36:28 Message type . . . . . : Escape CCSID . . . . . . . . : 65535 From program . . . . . . . . . : QC2POSIX From library . . . . . . . . : QSYS From module . . . . . . . . : QC2PSCOL From procedure . . . . . . . : __strcoll From statement . . . . . . . : 5 To program . . . . . . . . . . : QC2POSIX To library . . . . . . . . . : QSYS To module . . . . . . . . . : QC2PSCOL To procedure . . . . . . . . : __strcoll To statement . . . . . . . . : 5 I would be surprised if this is unique to my system.
