This is mainly a question for Joe P., but if anyone else has any info, I'm all ears. A while ago we were talking about the differences between JSPs and CGI. In that discussion Joe P. brought up the fact that he could very easily switch his output from HTML to XML. <td>data</td> to <datatag>data</datatag> My main question is, how? Do you write your own classes? For example, writeStdOut('data'); Or is it something different? Any small examples would be great. Then, expanding on this, what if you have: <td>Toyota</td><td>Tundra</td> to <Make>Toyota</Make> <Model>Tundra</Model> Also, what about attributes of HTML tags, like height, width, class, font, size, etc.. etc... How would this one class be able to produce all of this without a whole bunch of coding for that class? for XML it's easy to apply stylesheets to the tag, but for table data (as an example) assigning a class is the norm.
