getTables problem -- JAVA400-L

Hello,
I'm tring to get a table list using following statements, but no entries are 
returned (this works fine on DB2 7.1 and Oracle 8i),
OS/400 at V4R3M0.

        DatabaseMetaData dmd = User.getSQLConnection().getMetaData();
        ResultSet rs = dmd.getTables( "", qual, null, new String[] { "TABLE" } 
);

where "qual" is the library name.
