If you are going to use the target machine's FTP server (instead of http
server, for example) you could the the FTP classes in the AS/400 Toolbox
for Java. Toolbox Mod 3 includes FTP classes that do get, put, list, etc.
The FTP client is one of the files in our open source project so if don't
like our inplementation maybe you can pull what you need out of the source.
The open source page is
http://oss.software.ibm.com/developerworks/opensource/jt400/. There is
also a set of FTP classes on IBM's alphaworks site
(http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/, then search the alphabeans section for
FTP).

Subject: How to put using FTP

Dear all.

I am trying to write a programm in Java which should transfer a file from
the
machine on
which resides my Java pgm to a different platform using FTP PUT.

The documentation which I am using only tells me how to GET stuff using
URLs.

Can anybody help me how to do the PUT ? Or am I simply missing something
important ?

Thanks in advance
