I am trying to populate an array with a ResultSet is this possible??

(obviously this will not work)!!!!~~
stmt = conn.createStatement(); // Execute the query
          rs = stmt.executeQuery(sqlString);
          while (rs.next())
               {
        String[][] data = new String[][] {
                                String MCLOT = rs.getString(1);
                                String MCITEM = rs.getString(2);
                                String MCGAGE = rs.getString(3);
                                                };
                        }// endof while loop
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Tom
