RE: ORDER BY ? PARAMETER ??

The ? is replaced with the parameter value in the stmt.setString(1,
parameter): My code will work if I select a value from this SQL statement
stmt = conn.prepareStatement("SELECT  nyy, nmm, ndd " +
  " FROM LIB.CUST WHERE CUST = ? " +
   " ORDER BY cust, nyy, nmm, ndd, ref1, ref2 ");

I pass the parameter from an HTML Form to the servlet. I would like the
user to select which column to be sorted and pass the parameter back to the
order by in the SQL Statement:
