Hi! i'm was having the same situation. i don't know if there is a way to find the no of rows in a result set. but u can find the no of columns. the solution is not a pretty straight forward one. u have to first create vectors depending on the no of columns. populate the vectors from the result set. then u could transfer the datas from the vectors to arrays or just manage u'r work with the vectors itself.
