I don't know enough about the '400 to answer that... where should I start looking? I can understand a timeout in our factory, which is connected via 56K leased line, but we saw it a lot more when we ran it here on the LAN during warehouse inventory. Could ADDPFM time out if more than one person was trying to do it at once? It's definitely not as though the '400 was completely disconnecting from the remote PC, as I can just put up a dialog box asking if the operator wants to retry, and that works OK (i.e. without going all the way back to AS400.connectService). It's not the biggest deal in the world, I'm just curious about what it means. Everything else in the program (RMI, JDBC, etc.) works really great with the '400 :) -- ____________________________________________________________ Glenn Holmer gholmer@weycogroup.com Programmer/Analyst phone: 414.908.1809 Weyco Group, Inc. fax: 414.908.1601 +--- | This is the JAVA/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to JAVA400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to JAVA400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to JAVA400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner: joe@zappie.net +---
