Astonishingly, our company recently terminated development in Delphi to go
to screen scraping (JWalk). It seems that "time to market" is more
important than providing functionality. Of course, this brings up the topic
of "what's the point of Client/Server in the first place?" Is it
"presentation" (as in GUI) or is it "data exchange" (as in OLE links between
databases) or something else? It has been my experience that organisations
which haven't answered this question for themselves will fail at their C/S
projects.
