There's a special forum that AS/400 developers may be interested in joining
in. The current discussion includes:

* whether RPG (or Java <g>) is "dead"
* is WebSphere is critical to the future of the AS/400?
* What will a Java "Order Entry" application look like
* What's the future for SQL and/or "native" I/O DB2 UDB for AS/400
* Where does XML fit in the picture

There have been some very interesting views expressed, including those of
our erstwhile mail list moderator, Joe "Zappie" Pluta. This is a chance to
share your own experiences, insights, questions, comments, hopes and dreams.
I know that some IBM product strategists are watching this forum. So your
views will also get "inside" visibility.

The forum is at:

If you have trouble with that link, go to

   http://www.news400.com

and select the link for "The Future of AS/400 Application Development!"
