I've been using Visual Cafe 2.0 so I can't help with the specifics of using the Visual Age for Java visual editor. However, I do know the only way to use a menu in an applet is to open up a new frame seperate from the browser or appletviewer. Currently, a menu can only be added to a frame. The new Java Foundation Classes from Sun (currently in beta) have some nice classes that allow menus to be attached to an applet or any other container.
