I dont believe it will run directly on the AS400 until v4r2 is released.  It
does run on a PC accessing the AS400 files directly either using JDBC or
record level access.  You need JDK and the AS400 Toolkit for JAVA.  I'm using
Sun JDK 1.1.3 that I downloaded from their web site and you can download the
AS400 toolkit from IBMs web site.  Carefully read the directions, you need
the correct release of the AS400 with the require PTF's installed and the
ClassPath set correctly.  Then you can use one of the AS400 examples that are
given with the AS400 toolkit.  I first used the the RLSequentialAccessExample
and then the RLKeyedFileExample.  You can cut and paste this file into a text
file then just make your necessary changes.
