Hey Joe

You were joking wern't you.
That is, about EGL being the latest and greatest thing
for RPGers.

I have been doing a little bit of digging re. EGL and it
seems EGL is only CSP (Cross System Product) revisited.
As long as I have worked on the IBM GSD boxes it seemed I heard
rumours of the 'other' IBM divisions wanting to kill off GSD.
(General Systems Division)
Well it has finally come to pass.
BONGGGG BONGGGG BONGGGGGGG tolls the death knell of GSD.

Hey I'm still going to give CSP errr... RBDe errr.. EGL the
gud-ole-college try just so that I can post my findings.
Should be a giggle.

This is an article from 2005.

Hmmm. Trying to get off the ground for EGL.
This is harder than it looks. It seems to me that I need WAS going.
Is this correct? We dont even have a version of WAS installed.
(we dont use the AS400 for serving web applications)

As an aside perhaps someone has a COBOL to RPG source converter. (just
joking.)
