Database Document count vs All Documents count. -- DOMINO400

Database properties shows 45,604 documents on one replica and 45,592 on
another. All Documents view shows 43,289 documents on both.

1 - What is the difference between the database document count and the All
Documents view?
2 - Is it kosher to have a difference in the database document count
between replicas?

Database is a simple Domino archive of someone's mail file.
