Hello,

Does anyone know whether multiple DPARs can share the same
View_Rebuild_Dir on an iSeries? We have an issue on one of our DPARs
relating to a non-absolute path i.e. it hasn't been specified so Domino is
using a default directory - whatever that is.

"Insufficient memory - NSF directory manager pool is full' that can occur
when the notes.ini parameter VIEW_REBUILD_DIR is set to a non-absolute
path and a third party server addin (i.e., backup process) changes the
current working directory."

We haven't set this up for our iSeries although we use it for our single
DPAR Windows machines.

It would be useful if DPARs can share the same view rebuild location so
that the parameter can be added to a configuration document rather than
having to add it to 20 different Notes.ini files. It is much more visible
to in a config document - another big benefit.

I can't find anything about this in the KnowledgeBase or on Internet.

I suspect the answer is "No" but thought it worth asking :-)

The other issue of course is why Domino should have a problem due to not
defining a Veiw_Rebuild_Dir that ??? There is certainly nothing in the
"Domino on iSeries Best Practices Guide" about it so it wouldn't appear to
be necessary to have to define one.

Many thanks

Brian
