It's just PercentAvailSysResources=x where x would equal the max % of the system you want the DPAR to consume. But I believe it only affects the % of memory usage. You may want to look into changing the value for how much each DPAR uses of the system's resources. For the life of me I can't find the notes.ini setting for this either in help file, google, or devWorks!! But, it's something with the Percent Avail System Resources. This will limit how much of the system's total resources a DPAR will use. If I find the setting I will post it...

Is there a way to prevent a task from taking over the entire server?WhenUpdate runs on an overly large mail file, it kills the entire server's response times, including on the other DPARs.
