You may want to look into changing the value for how much each DPAR uses 
of the system's resources. For the life of me I can't find the notes.ini 
setting for this either in help file, google, or devWorks!! But, it's 
something with the Percent Avail System Resources. This will limit how 
much of the system's total resources a DPAR will use. If I find the 
setting I will post it...

Update runs on an overly large mail file, it kills the entire server's
response times, including on the other DPARs.
