Thanks Gregg. I've actually got a working button and the only thing I need to do is use the 'getevironmentstring' to return the actual location of the file. We have some users where the install went into C:\lotus\notes\data and then others that went into C:\program files\lotus\notes\data. Other than that, this peice of code is going to be a big help for globally getting backups of ID files on a regular basis.
