I get the impression from these posts that it may be better to restore the
actual DBs from the backup server and let the cluster handle getting things
up to date, rather than trying to restore the more up to date DBs from the
main server and 'faking' out the cluster.
Sound correct?

Chris,
It drove me crazy when that happened to me, and it happened to one of the
people who sign the checks. You are right about the date stamp, but for
the life of me I kept having the db's sync to the previous state. I just
disabled replication and was able to move ahead.
I am sure you have seen strange stuff happen that doesn't make sense.
I agree with the logic and implemented a similiar setup except I used a
cross over cable to perform the cluster replication. Really cut down on
network traffic.

Richard, yeah, I was kind of thinking about that in the back of my
mind....
In theory, it should see the production replica as the more recently
changed and sync with it, right? But stranger things have happened!
