I wouldn't advice to sign with an admin id, but use the current server id 
instead.
The current server is always trusted, whereas for the administrator 
sometimes an ACL or ECL can be wrongly set.

Also your enabled out-of-office agents would run under the admin id, as 
will other agents.

We are still pre-6.0.4, but I have never heard any reports of such
exaggerated slowdowns (ten minutes?!) for the folks that I have renamed.
Granted, I don't do it often in my small environment, but I think I would
have heard.

We have no R5 servers left on our network, so that potential cause is not
present.  I doubt we have many design elements that would be signed by the
users, either -- other than the obvious folders, of course.  That might be
why we are not seeing it here.  I must say, that's a pretty informative
technote.

Pre 6.0.4, when a user is renamed, their access to their mail file can be
extremely slow every time they open their mail file.  Workaround is to 
sign
the mail files with an admin ID.  Currently, we manually sign mail files
for users being re-cert or renamed via the admin client.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and how do you handle this?  Does
anyone have a sleek automated process and will you share?  Any ideas to
save man power would be greatly appreciated.
