It's a start...

I was able to write a RPG program to insert records into my DB2 database
with blob fields. My blob field was in the ifs as a pdf file. This
program put it directly into the blob field:

Now my Notes developer seems to be having a rough go actually retrieving
this blob field. He can retrieve other DB2 data without much difficulty.

How would you go about inserting and retrieving data from it via Domino?

We already access DB2 data for inquiries via Domino. The trip is the BLOB
field.

Our application is this. We will have a iSeries based application
generate a PDF file. Then we want to associate that PDF file with
particular other DB2 data. We were thinking a blob field made sense. Once
the iSeries based application did that, then Domino could access that
data.
