We have a process in which someone in a Notes database clicks on a button. The process then 1) Calls an AS/400 BPCS bill of material print program (BOM240) and converts the spool file into a disk file. 2) Uses ODBC calls to bring the data into Notes 3) Deletes the work file with DROP TABLE Notes and the ERP run on the same 400. Takes 7 seconds. Not too bad. larry@paque.net on 06/16/2000 12:00:37 PM Please respond to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com@Internet To: midrange-l@midrange.com@Internet cc: Fax to: Subject: NT web server access to AS400 We are using Net.Data on an NT IIS server to access data on our AS/400 through ODBC. We do stored procedure calls and database reads. The performance is less than adequate (15-30 seconds) even when using live connect manager. Some of you must be using NT web servers and getting data from your AS400. How are you getting decent response times?
