  • Subject: Database connectivity - web based

This question is similar to one posted earlier about DECS. I have similar
needs in being able to connect to an AS/400 database. But the interface I
will be using is web-based using Domino's HTTP server. I've created some
sample pages, but am now stuck as to how to get to my backend databases to
pull information. One person mentioned using lotus script. It is my
understanding that lotus script does not work on the web side. Therefore,
how do I connect to my backend database so web browsers can see my data?

Also, are any of you using the Domino HTTP server as your primary web
server? If so, how did you speed up its serving abilities? When I hit my
server from a web browser, it connects and then waits several seconds before
the page is ever served. Can I speed up this process?

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated as I am new to Domino.

Have a great day,
Shane D. Rowe
