I need to create an interface in Notes that does maintenance
to a file in DB2/400. I think DECS is my answer, but am unclear
on a couple of things.

I can create a form that uses DECS to 'connect' to the file on
the back-end. My big question: is there a way to create a Notes
app that is just a front-end to a back-end DB where documents
won't be created in the Notes app? If so, any samples to share?

Did any of that make sense? Hopefully it did. I am a newbie
and am learning my way around development in Notes/Domino.
I have looked at the entreprise integration redbook and a lot
of other manuals and cannot find a clear answer to my question.
