Here's what I do. I have a source member named #cb_sqlca with the SQLCA
data structure, which you can get from qtemp/qsqltemp1 after attempting a
compile.

In my SQLRPGLE source, I add this:

     D/if defined(need_sql)
     D/include philsrc,#cb_sqlca
     D/endif

Then, do verify with prompt, select the compile tab, then add 'need_sql' at
define conditon names and press add.

If you don't condition it, then you will have errors during compile.

hth,
Phil

Whenever I verify a program with embedded SQL I get a 7030 error for the
variable SQLCOD. When I compile the program everything is fine. For
some reason the verifier doesn't see SQLCOD as a valid program variable.

Has anyone else encountered this problem, and more importantly, is there
a workaround?

Thanks,
Dan
