Try this on an iseries command line and it should create the user space and start a code session STRCODE RMTLOCNAME(*RESOLVE) PARMS(*TA). Bill code400-l-admin@midrange.com wrote:
Ah...forget the iSeries cr*p! You can do this entirely from your PC; it's called an autostart server. You don't have to do anything on the iSeries except make sure it's plugged in and powered up. CODE, Windows|Communications|Properties; define your server there, and you should be ready to rock. I can STRCODE in the iSeries when I'm dialed in or on my LAN; when I'm on my WAN (behind a network address translator, or NAT, box) STRCODE goes nowhere. Others have gotten it to work; I can't. But I'm an applications guy anyway. -rf -----Original Message----- From: code400-l-admin@midrange.com [mailto:code400-l-admin@midrange.com]On Behalf Of mdaily.WWL@wwlinc.com Sent: Wednesday, October 09, 2002 12:32 PM To: code400-l@midrange.com Subject: RE: Long Story This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] When I do STRCODE from the command line I get the message Default information for STRCODE not found. ######################################################################## Note: This message is for the named person's use only.
