-- -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Jon, how is VARPG doing in the marketplace? It really is a right-here, right-now solution, and is apparently much faster and easier then Visual Basic to use, but is it gaining a foothold? --------------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.MartinVT.com Booth@MartinVT.com --------------------------------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: code400-l@midrange.com Date: Thursday, October 03, 2002 05:50:29 PM To: code400-l@midrange.com Subject: VARPG Future? >> I would be interested in hearing the answer to this one too...Will it be included with Eclipse? It _is_ already included with the WDSc package. VARPG is not integrated into the workbench - I'll leave it for IBMers to say if that will/won't happen 'cos I don't know. I _do_ know that it will have it's RPG level upgraded to V5R2 in the next release. I don't quite understand the earlier point about using it to web enable though - it really is not very good at that other than in an intranet mode - the Java run time requirement is just too big and lumpy.
