Doug, I just tried this and it worked fine. I have WDTS V5R1 SP5. When I got to the FUNCTIONS field, I keyed this exactly: colhdg('this is a long+ then I pressed enter. 'colhdg' became COLHDG but the heading stayed as is. Then I entered: heading') then I pressed enter. Everything stayed as I typed it with the exception of colhdg: FIELD5 10 COLHDG('this is a long+ heading') When the second line went to all cap's was when I DIDN'T key a + before pressing enter.
