code designer eliminating source

A couple of times in the last few weeks I've lost parts of a display file
where Code Designer flagged errors in the source.  I wish I'd been recording
<g>, but the general scenario is make some changes, try to compile, the
compile fails, a record format disappears from the source.  Both times I was
able to recover the source from a listing from a previous compile.  I'm
getting better at cpysplf than I like.

Anyone else had this experience? (v5r1, sp5)

Another thing that's mildly annoying, but harmless, is Designer's problem
with input masks.  Seems to me that it thinks an input mask on a field with
an edit code is an error even though the file compiles.
