Just had something similar happen. Just did some changes to a display file and did a compile. Recompiled the RPG and it was clean. Went to run the program and it gave me a level check error. When I went back to the Designer to recompile, I noticed that 3 of my 5 new fields were underlined and red on the designer screen. When I would try to click on them the Designer would just end. No questions asked. When I looked at the code closer, it appears to have made a complete copy of the screen record I was working on and made up a name that was not related to any thing. Very strange. I also have SP5 applied.
