M Hello Phil, You wrote: > Out of curiousity ... is there much interest for CODE-like > functionality running on a Linux client? Yes, but only because you won't give me an OS/2 version! I refuse to use CODE because you force me to use windows and I've not got the patience to suffer that rubbish. The original OS/2 version of CODE was quite good for its time but then you moved it to windows and it became junk. I've installed it many times and I've taught classes with it. All I see are problems -- it doesn't install reliably, it doesn't connect reliably, bits of don't work (or work today but not tomorrow). Some things work in the CPO but not from the editor. I see evidence on this list that many (most) others experience the same issues. CODE is very productive IF you get a good installation but the days of lost productivity in getting to that stage defeats me.
