Go for it. I think WDT/400 V5R1 uninstalled the previous version on my Win2K boxes. This should be a pretty common path, so I don't think you're the first to wonder about/wander down it. But I'd download SP4 and have it waiting in the wings. -----Original Message----- From: code400-l-admin@midrange.com [mailto:code400-l-admin@midrange.com]On Behalf Of MWalter@hanoverwire.com Sent: Thursday, November 15, 2001 2:16 PM To: code400-l@midrange.com Subject: V5R1 Hello all, It's finally arrived. My brand spanking new copy of Websphere Development Tools for iSeries Version 5.1 I'm just ready to plop the old CD in the drive and go for it but my gut tells me DON'T GO THERE. I'm currently running WDS/400 V4R5M1. I have VAJAVA installed. I am running Windows NT 4.0 Sp6a. My OS/400 version is V4R5. I guess my question is should I uninstall the V4R5 version before installing the new version? Are there any gotchas I should be aware of. Should I immediately get the latest sp and apply it before even trying to use my new toy? Any insight would be appreciated.
