  • Subject: How current is Code with V4R5 RPG Compiler?

I'm running Code V451 with SP1. The editor is complaining (RNF0501) whenever
I attempt to create a character field larger than 32767 bytes, even though
the RPG compiler (V450) supports up to 65535 bytes.

Also, the lack of support for the /Include directive is becoming
increasingly troublesome. We need something done about this. Right now we
have a situation where our compiler, pre-compiler, and editing tools don't
support the same features, and it's very frustrating.

At least SEU used to keep current with the compiler - before Code became the
strategic tool. Now, the only editor we have that supports 100% of the
compiler options is Notepad! Come on IBM, let's get a service pack out to
address these problems. They're too important to wait for a new release.
