I had caching turned on, but for some reason when I have modules that call other modules and they both have \copy and etc, it was taking forever, so I gave up trying. Even after the first time when it pulled in everything it needed into the cache, it still took a long time. If I just used /copy and a regular RPG program, it was fine. RPGIII programs were fine. It was when we started having lots of external modules that it started taking too long. -----Original Message----- From: owner-code400-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-code400-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Jon.Paris@hal.it Sent: Friday, May 18, 2001 7:15 PM To: CODE400-L@midrange.com Subject: RE: Verify vs Compile >> I quit using the verify when I started using modules and /copy source to pull in the prototypes for the modules. If you turn on caching Vernon you don't need to do this. I use /COPY files all the time and neer have this kind of problem.
