Hi Chris
to prompt a cl command you neet to run a command on the server(AS400 or
ISeries) called STRCODE.
It requires your client tcp/ip address and connection type (*TCPIP I assume) .
If you serve up dynamic IP addresses there is a
tip on the VARPG home page to get the tcp/ip address.

Hi all,

Ok, I'm going to show my ignorance here..... Can you not prompt CL commands
in code/400? What's this message I get about starting STRCODE? Why would I
need to do that and what would it do? The message seems to imply that it
would execute the CL command I enter. If someone could clarify it for me I'd
appreciate it!

Thanks,

Chris Proctor
