You don't mention if you are using an STRCODE type server or allowing Code to
automagically link. Also you don't say if you are using VARPG - I find that if
I have a server defined to VARPG I either have to be _really_ careful with
Code/400 or (preferably) delete the server temporarily so that Code won't try to
use it.

I manually (although not always because sometimes Code has a life of its own!)
start the server daemon on the PC and then use STRCODE all the time because of
problems with the command shell. The self-start won't let you do a lot of stuff
(like ADDLIBLE) and of course you can't get a 5250 screen. For me it is a nice
idea that just doesn't work right now - a new release is due in May and with
luck will fix this stuff.

I find that with STRCODE (and removing the VARPG server definition) the only
real problem I get is that sometimes Command.com won't shut down by itself when
closing windows and I have to do an end-task from Ctl/Alt/Del even then it takes
a while. Responding to the dialog you mentioned will close it in time - but it
takes forever.
