I understand not _wanting_ to, but if you don't, SQL really doesn't buy you
anything. You are then tied to the database structure with that program.

Spell out the fields, and you are no longer tied to the structure.

Demand that groups work in the pre-conmpiler, and like the rest of us
non-ex-ibmers, wait 12 releases for it....   <VBG>
