Hello Jon, Continuing on from my response in MIDRANGE-L ... I don't get errors on VR1 occurring in two structures but Values(:VENDR1.VR1) fails as you noted. I think the problem is that qualified names are allowed only on individual fields because Values( :VR1.VENDORNAME) compiles OK if I change the second VR1 (in VENDR2) to be VR2 and the VENDP file doesn't exist so the pre-compiler cannot verify the number of fields. Remember that the SQL Precompiler is not at the top of the intelligence heap ...
