Based on this example, I tried to understand how the API works, but it was not clear how it works, because apparently in RPG less parameters are sent to the function, already in C, there are N parameters that are not clear what they are


If you have seen an RPG example that does not pass all 8 parameters, it is not valid. In the documentation, the last 6 parameters are listed as "omissible", but not "optional". "Omissible" means that you can pass *OMIT in RPG, or NULL in C, for the parameter. But you must pass something for all 8 parameters.
