That goes for me too, interesting that after all these years (I always use
the comas) that I have never found out how to check that the flags actually
did what they were meant to do.. Now my interest is peaked so I will try to
find out :-)

correctly at first but having changed to both formats with same result

I have only ever coded the options parameter without a comma. (I only know
these APIs as a user. I don't have any inside knowledge about them.)
