Hopefully this isn't an "OOPS" moment as you've backed up your data, but wr+ mode means open for reading, writing or updating. Another thing it means is that it'll clear any existing data unless the file being opened is a logical file. In other words your two records are deleted. I suspect what you really need is mode "rr+", which means the same (read/write/update) without clearing the file.
