Thank you.  It's still not working.  On a hunch, I tried moving the sample
code to another box, and the debug works *Just Fine* over there.  I now
believe there must be some kind of problem with that particular
box.  Perhaps there is a PTF to apply?  Or perhaps there is some kind of
security issue?
