Dick,

Is there any reason the sequence# (TSEQ) wouldn't be consecutive between
the "T-from" and the "T-to"? I believe on 8.3.4 the sequencing works fine.

If it is, then you should get accurate results by joining on TPROD, TTDTE
(excluding any highly unlikely cross-midnight transfers :) ), ABS(TQTY),
and a.TSEQ = b.TSEQ-1 .

Using the time could cause misses, even up to the hour (e.g. 2:59:59 /
3:00:00) so I would exclude that part.

Dick,

We are on 8.3.2 so not sure if ITH changes in your version.

I would think if you create a file of T transactions with negative
quantities that will give you the "From" transactions. You should then be
able to closely match them with the corresponding same but positive
quantities matched on Part Number (TPROD), Workstation (THWS), User
(THUSER) and Date (TTDTE) to get the "To" transactions. Taking it down to
the minute/second may miss matches if the "From" and "To" click over the
second.

We have a need to analyze transfers of parts based upon the combination of
from-location and to-location.

Transfers are recorded, however, in two pieces - the "from" piece and the
"To". Joining them by part number, date, absolute quantity hour minute and
second produces inaccurate results.

Does anyone have an effective way to accomplish such a joining?

We are on LX V8.3.4
