Are you running the TN5250 emulation on the printronix printer? I do have one printer configured like that.

My power system does not support twinax but we put in the e-twinax controller so that we could to continue to use the twinax devices.

I have a client that put in a new power system that did NOT support twinax devices anymore, so we bought a card that switched it to ethernet connection and print BPCS checks to a Printronix Line Printer.

I received CPA3303 - reason code 5 Attributes of the file not supported -
because of the IGCDTA *Yes

I took a "G" to this and after about 5 of 28 pages received a
CPF5418 - Message . . . . : Transmit not allowed until previous response
for device
PRT03 is received.
Cause . . . . . : There was an internal system failure. Recovery . . . :
Close the files and try the request again. If the problem occurs again,
enter the ANZPRB command to run problem analysis.

Infor has a document that says to change the device configuration to
Transform *Yes. I have been trying to determine the manuf/model to select
and what *WSCST. Looking at the ASCII printer document the Printronix
printer uses the QWPDEFAULT. Have been experimenting with this today.

I have talked to Infor support, IBM support and BosaNova support.

This is just the vanilla A/P check program.

I would like to know if anyone is using a line printer to print checks.
(Twinax,lan,ipds...) If I were to buy a new printer, I don't know what to
look for.

I have seen in the archive that this has been a problem for others - just
trying to not reinvent the wheel.

Do you have the writer joblog? I'd like to know why the writer ended.

Honestly, we haven't had a twinax printer in a decade or longer but I'd be
hardpressed to find that the reason was because the CCSID of the files
changed. IBM's supported multilingual for a long time.

We are planning to migrate from BPCS 6.1.02 to ErpLx 8.3.4. I know that
some of the database files are CCSid 937. I just tried to print a vanilla
A/P check and the writer ended. I am using a Printronix twinax printer
that runs through a BosaNova etwinax controller.

1. Can I use twinax printers using 5250 data stream?

2. 2. We have no source - without source or a forms package is
there any way to print an a/p check on a 7 x 8 ½" pre-printed form.

Any suggestions in what to look for in a new line printer?

Any suggestions on a forms package that will reformat the a/p check using
a line printer and the above specifications?
