Hey Tom,
I have routines that do the same thing... it would be interesting to
compare code and see how we both tackled this problem... contact me
offlist if you'd be interested.
Thanks

Re: [BPCS-L] Date Math 405 CD 5.1
Al,
I'm sure there must be standard routines to answer your first point, but
if not we have some programs and files that allow you to do it.
Your second point. We have 3 programs that calculate dates using FSC,
based on date, number of business days and Facility whose FSC is to be
used. These calculate :
Date x business days forward from a date
Date x business days back from a date
Number of business days between 2 dates
Using the calculated date and what you ask for in your first point should
get you day of week..
We are now on ERP Lx 8.3.2 but our routines were written about 10 years
ago when we were on V6.04 and may work OK on your version.
If nobody comes up with anything easier by Monday, let me know and I can
send you the code.

Subject: [BPCS-L] Date Math 405 CD 5.1
I have been requested to do a modification, and I am having difficulty
locating good tools to support it. We are BPCS 405 CD, IBM 5.1.
* Is there a standard subroutine, like in QSTD, or native IBM, where
we feed in date and it returns if that Date is a Monday Wednesday or
whatever day of week? This is because they want something to happen based
on business days, not calendar days.
* Is there a standard subroutine, where I can feed in some date from
some BPCS data, and some # of business days (3 days is their current
interest, but that could change), access the FSC shop calendar, and figure
that out ... like if the BPCS date is for a Monday, then 3 business days
prior to that is the previous Wednesday.
